Our mission was to craft a global illustration library that authentically reflects disability and LGBTQ+ communities. We started by engaging directly with disability and LGBTQ+ community members, via intake calls and listening sessions. To learn how they want to be represented.

Next, we assembled an image bank and secured approval from Mastercard’s in-house inclusion groups before making it available company wide.

From there, we sketched initial concepts, developed individual personas, and designed flexible scenes. Each crafted to fit seamlessly within Mastercard’s established design language for global use.
